Recent events concerning our Catholic faith have caused me to want to write a follow-up to my last post. I felt compelled to write particularly about the fact that many people seem to be following, “many gods” and/or “any god”.
There has been and in fact, continues to be, the idea that it doesn’t matter which god you believe in or follow. “As long as you respect people, and ‘love’ them, respect the environment, don’t do any ‘harm’, and especially don’t push your beliefs on others-then all is good.
Believing in all gods, as the Freemasons do, who enshrine the scriptures of all religions on their altars (is it any wonder why the Catholic Church forbids Catholics to be members of the Freemasons?): believing in any god as many people in today’s culture do, or following Satan, are not only totally against our Catholic faith but also against those of other Christians as well as the Jewish faith. From the very beginning, God was very specific and direct in His teaching, “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. You shall not have other gods beside me. …you shall not bow down before them or serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous** God, bringing punishment for their parents’ wickedness on the children of those who hate me, down to the third and fourth generation, but showing love down to the thousandth generation of those who love me and keep my commandments”. (Deut. 5:6-10)
Sadly, however, the current culture makes it very difficult to follow and practice our faith. Prominent leaders try to tell us that our religion is a private matter, we should keep it to ourselves, not push it on others, and not profess it or practice it publicly… but these same leaders have no problem publicizing their beliefs and pushing it on us by demanding our participation in the practice of their religion such as forcing us to pay for others’ PRIVATE abortions via our tax dollars.
If we do not know our faith and are not strong enough in it to stand up for it, we will fall for anything, and as a result we will find ourselves going “back to Egypt” and back into slavery to a god who cannot save!
Do people know what you believe in? Do people know who your God is? Do YOU know who your God is?
